Lucknow: In a humanitarian initiative, the Lucknow Academy of Pediatrics organized a free medical camp on Thursday for residents affected by a recent fire incident in the slums of Vikas Nagar.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with several social organizations, including Robin Hood Army, Inner Wheel Prerna, Humraahi Foundation, MET, and Diya Baati Foundation. The joint effort aimed to provide immediate medical relief and support to families impacted by the fire that broke out in the area last week.
A team of dedicated doctors from the academy actively participated in the camp, including Dr Shalini Bhasin, Dr Nirupama Pandey, Dr Surbhi Gupta, and Dr Lokesh Sharma.
The comprehensive medical camp focused on health check-ups, diagnosis, and distribution of essential medicines and supplies. Special attention was given to children, elderly individuals, and those suffering from respiratory or stress-related conditions following the incident.

Approximately 150 people from the affected community received medical consultation and treatment during the camp. Organizers highlighted the importance of timely healthcare intervention in disaster-affected areas and reaffirmed their commitment to continued support for vulnerable populations.
